a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in an away game. Following the match, an
interesting incident occurred where a Newcastle fan exchanged two boxes of
Kinder chocolates for Bruno Guimaraes’ jersey. The exchange took place outside
the tunnel at Villa Park and was captured on video by Newcastle’s official
media channel. Guimaraes, upon being approached by the fan, gladly accepted the
offer and handed over his match-worn shirt in return for the chocolates. The
exchange left Guimaraes excited, and he exclaimed, “Yeah!” It seems
that the fan’s creative gesture caught the attention of others, suggesting that
they should take note. Guimaraes, 26, joined Newcastle from Lyon two years ago
in a £40 million transfer. Since then, he has made 89 appearances for the club,
scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists. He has become a favorite among the
Magpies’ fans.
