[Saba Sports News] Recently, British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton became embroiled in a debate online after he mentioned in a program that if he had an F1 team, he would make Kenzo Craigie and Doriane Pin his main drivers. Craigie is a karting champion hoping to enter F1 soon; Pin ranks second in the 2024 F1 Academy points standings and is a familiar face in endurance racing. Hamilton’s support for female drivers entering F1 is not new, but his comments drew criticism from German female driver Sophia Florsch. Florsch responded to Hamilton on Twitter, saying, “Please put your money where your mouth is!” This led to a heated exchange between Hamilton’s fans and Florsch. One fan replied to Florsch’s post, “This is embarrassing for you. A quick Google search on what Hamilton has done would save you from this foolishness.” Hamilton has a complete charity organization called “Mission 44,” established in 2021 to create a more equitable and inclusive future for young people worldwide. Mission 44 invests in a range of solutions to help young people overcome social injustice and achieve success, creating a positive impact. Since its inception, Hamilton has donated over £20 million to Mission 44.
