[Saba Sports News] On March 2, the Youth Badminton International Tournament held in the Netherlands concluded successfully, with the Chinese team sweeping all five championships in individual events. Among them, young player Feng Yilang claimed gold medals in both men’s doubles and mixed doubles, becoming a double champion and showcasing remarkable talent. The entire tournament took place over five days, leading to a fierce competition due to the high number of participants. For instance, 73 pairs registered for the mixed doubles event, necessitating the addition of a preliminary round of 1/64 finals. Multi-event athletes faced the challenge of playing up to four matches in a single day. Feng Yilang, competing in both men’s doubles and mixed doubles and reaching the final stages of both, played four matches on consecutive days, totaling 12 matches over five days.Surprisingly, despite the high intensity of the competition, Feng exhibited composure and resilience beyond his years, winning 12 matches in five days and becoming the sole double champion of the tournament.
