[Saba Sports News] Hamilton will join the Ferrari F1 team for the 2025 season. According to Italian media reports, to help Hamilton integrate into the team quickly, Ferrari has planned two rounds of private tests totaling four days. Last December, Hamilton had hoped to participate in the end-of-season tests on behalf of Ferrari, but Mercedes refused to release him as his contract with them had not yet ended. It was not until January 1 of this year that Hamilton officially became a Ferrari driver. In mid to late January, Hamilton will experience Ferrari’s race cars for the first time at the team’s Fiorano test track. Traditionally, the Ferrari team conducts a two-day “wake-up” test in January, allowing the team and drivers to regain speed before the official pre-season tests in February. Reports indicate that Ferrari has set plans for this year’s Fiorano test, scheduled to take place in the week starting January 20. If the weather is poor, the testing location may be moved to Mugello or Imola. According to a report by Italian version Motorsport.com, Ferrari will also give Hamilton an additional round of testing, planning for a second private test at the Catalonia circuit in Barcelona, the home of the F1 Spanish Grand Prix, at the end of this month. This means Hamilton will have four days to familiarize himself with his new team.
