[Saba Sports News] In the recently concluded F1 Qatar qualifying, the Ferrari team was fined by the FIA for the unsafe release of Carlos Sainz’s car, receiving a penalty of €5,000. It was reported that the engineer responsible for releasing Sainz signaled before the driver was ready, causing a small delay that ultimately led to the unsafe release. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton had to take emergency braking action, leading to the FIA imposing the €5,000 fine on Ferrari. The author believes that these incidents indicate that there are issues with the operations of the Ferrari team in the pit. An unsafe release not only endangers the safety of the driver and the pit crew but also violates FIA competition rules. Such errors should not occur for a top-tier team, as safety is always the priority in F1 racing. Pit operations require a high level of precision and caution, as even a small mistake can lead to serious consequences.
