[Saba Sports News] On January 20, seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton arrived in Maranello, Italy, officially beginning his Ferrari career. From the photos released on Ferrari’s official social media, Hamilton is seen wearing a black formal coat, with a classic red Ferrari F40 supercar parked beside him. Italian media widely reported that Hamilton’s testing time is unlikely to start before Wednesday, as he will spend a few days meeting with team members, fitting the seat, and preparing on the simulator. Due to concerns about weather affecting the tests, the testing dates will remain flexible, and Ferrari has not released a specific plan to avoid fans flocking to Maranello or Fiorano. Hamilton is expected to drive the 2023 F1 car, the latest model permitted under F1 testing restrictions. His mileage will also be limited, and he must use Pirelli’s so-called Academy tires, which differ in specification and quality from race tires. Charles Leclerc may also participate in the tests, but rules prohibit the Ferrari team from running two cars simultaneously. Therefore, it is possible that they will share a single car.
