[Saba Sports News] With McLaren winning 9 out of 12 races this season, Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur finally openly admitted that the chances of winning the 2025 title are extremely slim. The British Grand Prix became a turning point for Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton was defeated by Nico Hulkenberg of Sauber and missed the podium, while Charles Leclerc finished 14th. Currently, Ferrari is 238 points behind McLaren in the constructor standings, and the championship prospects are almost gone. Faced with reality, Vasseur confirmed that Ferrari has already started developing the 2026 car. He revealed that the team is currently at a technical crossroads between 2025 and 2026, and must make strategic choices and wisely allocate resources. Although the team is still fighting for individual race wins and competing against Mercedes and Red Bull, the focus must shift to the long-term goal. This change was also echoed by Hamilton, who expressed dissatisfaction with the current SF-25 car after the British Grand Prix and suggested that future cars should avoid repeating the design problems of the current vehicle.
