[Saba Sports News] Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc achieved a commendable third place at the Mexico City Grand Prix. Due to his excitement at being on the podium, during the post-race press conference, Leclerc inadvertently used an inappropriate word while describing his driving mistake. He quickly realized his error, apologized for his slip of the tongue, and joked that he didn’t want to join Max Verstappen’s ranks. As a result, the FIA will hold a meeting to discuss whether Leclerc should be penalized, with a decision expected before the media day of the 2024 Sao Paulo F1 Grand Prix. In this regard, the well-known British sports media Sky Sports believes that Leclerc’s prompt apology may lead the governing body to handle the incident more leniently, possibly allowing him to avoid a penalty similar to Verstappen’s, and he might only receive a warning for inappropriate language. Previously, Verstappen was penalized by the FIA for using foul language during a media conference at the Singapore F1 Grand Prix.
