[Saba Sports News] According to French media, the French refereeing department has invited Ligue 1 clubs to personally participate in VAR testing, with nine clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, accepting the invitation. To help clubs better understand the operation and rules of VAR, the French refereeing department invited Ligue 1 clubs to the VAR center in Paris on Tuesday afternoon local time for simulated match exercises. The French refereeing department first explained the VAR decision-making process, after which representatives from the participating Ligue 1 clubs conducted VAR simulation exercises with the assistance of six professional referees, using real match scenarios. The French refereeing department did the same last season, but only three Ligue 1 clubs accepted the invitation at that time. This time, nine Ligue 1 clubs participated: Paris Saint-Germain, Brest, Rennes, Lyon, Marseille, Paris FC, Nice, Toulouse, and Nantes. However, the media also noted that Lille, which frequently criticizes referees, did not participate in this event. In addition, Ligue 1 commentators and advisors also took part in the VAR simulation testing. On December 1 local time, a liaison committee meeting will be held in French football, inviting representatives from the Ligue 1 Professional League, refereeing management, and various clubs to attend.
