[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Liverpool’s legendary captain Steven Gerrard recently shut down a company selling healthy drinking water, incurring nearly all of his £371,000 investment. Reports claim that this 44-year-old English football icon invested £371,524 in Angel Revive, a company run by friends, but the company is now in debt and bankrupt. The investors, including Gerrard, collectively invested £2.5 million, but they suffered heavy losses. It is understood that Gerrard only recovered £50,000 of his investment, leaving him with significant losses. According to the company’s liquidation documents, this enterprise in which Gerrard holds 25% of the shares is heavily indebted at £542,220, including £398,353 in unpaid rent. The document clearly states: “The company’s reserve funds are negative, and it has been continuously dependent on financial support from directors and shareholders.” There are reports that Gerrard is currently involved in the bidding for the position of head coach at Glasgow Rangers, marking his second association with the position. During his tenure from 2018 to 2021, Gerrard led Glasgow Rangers to win the Scottish Premiership title.
