However, the Milwaukee Bucks, who have been Christmas Day regulars for six straight seasons, were notably absent.
On Friday, Antetokounmpo took to X to express his disappointment, posting, “No Christmas game?!” with laughing-face emojis. The Bucks, 2021 NBA champions, still boast stars like Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Khris Middleton. The last time Milwaukee missed a Christmas game was in 2017.
For Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA MVP who has been in the league since 2013, playing on Christmas had become a tradition. Being left out this year is likely to fuel his motivation even more, especially as he trains with a notable figure this offseason.
