[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is taking legal action over a financial loss of £135,000. The matter came to light after the voluntary liquidation of the former player’s company. The 51-year-old Giggs is expected to receive approximately £14 million from the closure of his company, but the process cannot be finalized until the legal proceedings are resolved. Currently, Giggs is consulting experts and believes he is entitled to the amount. Additionally, documents from his football-related income company, “Ryan Giggs Limited,” indicate that Giggs is preparing to file a claim for £135,000 with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. In response, the liquidator of Giggs’ company confirmed: “The details of the potential claim have been reviewed, and the process for submitting the claim is currently under investigation.” Giggs established this football company in 1994 and employed Grant Thornton as accountants until 2022. Earlier this year, Giggs suffered another financial blow, losing £100,000 due to the collapse of his restaurant, George’s, which had accrued debts exceeding £500,000.
