Sports News] Earlier, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that he would be stepping down as
Liverpool coach at the end of the current season. It is worth noting that Joe
Gomez is the only player who was part of the Liverpool first team when Klopp
took over who is still with the squad. Klopp’s first Premier League match as
Liverpool coach took place on October 17, 2015, in a 0-0 draw against
Tottenham. None of the starting eleven players or the substitutes from that
match are currently part of the Liverpool squad. However, Joe Gomez, the
English defender, was part of the team at that time, although he missed the
match due to injury. Throughout his career, Gomez has represented Liverpool in
202 official games but has yet to score a goal for the team. Many Liverpool
fans now hope that Gomez can find the back of the net under Klopp’s guidance.
