[Saba Sports News] According to British media, Viktor Gyokeres will be summoned as a witness in a defamation lawsuit filed by his agent against the media, which may cause him to miss two of Arsenal’s Premier League matches next year. Gyokeres is involved in a high-profile legal case in Sweden. His agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has filed a defamation lawsuit against two Swedish media outlets, Fotboll Sthlm and Expressen, for alleging that Cetinkaya and his agency, HCM Sports Management, have links to criminal gangs. Gyokeres has been summoned to testify as a witness in the defamation case at the Stockholm District Court in 2026 to testify on behalf of his agent. The investigation into Cetinkaya, Sweden’s largest football agent, and his company was published by Expressen and Fotboll Sthlm last year, claiming that individuals associated with organized crime were involved in recruiting new talent for HCM. Cetinkaya has denied the allegations and is suing Expressen and its editor-in-chief for defamation, stating: “I have reached heights no Swedish agent has ever reached through organic growth, without any influence or support from criminals.” Gyokeres will testify that he is the agent’s childhood friend and that Cetinkaya or HCM Sports Management has no personal or professional connection to criminal organizations. The trial is scheduled to take place from February 4 to 11 next year. During this period, Arsenal will play two Premier League matches: at home against Sunderland and away against Brentford.
