[Saba Sports News] British driver Lewis Hamilton will join the Ferrari F1 team for the 2025 season. To thank Hamilton for his contributions, the Mercedes F1 team is organizing a world farewell tour for him. The first stop of the tour is Kuala Lumpur, the headquarters of Mercedes’ sponsoring partner, Petronas. Here, Hamilton delivered a unique farewell speech. He expressed that when he first saw the Petronas Twin Towers in a movie, he couldn’t believe he was actually there and able to work with such an organization. He will always remember his 12 years with the Mercedes F1 team; regardless of the ups and downs in performance, it always felt like a family. This is his last visit as a driver for the Mercedes F1 team, which makes it very emotional for him. To some extent, farewells are sad, but being able to spend it with colleagues from Petronas and Malaysian fans makes it a beautiful thing. He thanked all the excellent staff he worked with and mentioned that he would miss everyone. According to the PR department of the Mercedes team, besides Kuala Lumpur, Hamilton will also visit the team headquarters in Stuttgart and the Mercedes F1 factories in Brackley and Brixworth, where he will say goodbye to every team member.
