[Saba Sports News] Before the F1 Canadian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton strongly refuted rumors that Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur’s position was in jeopardy, urging everyone to stop speculating. Recently, several Italian media outlets have reported that Vasseur might be removed from his position, naming WEC department head Antonello Coletta as a potential successor, sparking widespread speculation. In response to these doubts, the Ferrari team officially stated that such reports were baseless. Hamilton himself also expressed strong support for Vasseur in interviews. Hamilton admitted that it was Vasseur himself who personally contacted him to join the Ferrari team, and they had been in close contact since late 2023. Vasseur’s vision and sincerity were key factors in Hamilton’s decision to leave Mercedes. Discussing whether Vasseur’s position is safe makes no sense at all, and he doesn’t support or believe such statements are true. Hamilton emphasized that Ferrari is currently undergoing adjustments, experiencing structural changes within the team. Whether bringing in new drivers, engineers, or senior management, it takes time to adapt and integrate. The current challenges do not mean the direction is wrong but are part of the rebuilding process.
