[Saba Sports News] Lewis Hamilton recently revealed a significant change in his team structure at Ferrari—his performance engineer has been replaced, with the new member hailing from his former team, Mercedes. This move signals Ferrari’s efforts to tailor the team around Hamilton and accelerate integration. The seven-time F1 world champion admitted that mid-season engineer swaps are challenging, even though the two have known each other for years. This marks their first time working closely together in this role. However, Hamilton expressed confidence in the new partnership, stating, “We fixed a lot of things overnight, and it will only get stronger from here.” Beyond the engineer change, Hamilton also debuted the same upgrade package as Charles Leclerc at the Belgian Grand Prix. Previously, parts of this upgrade were tested by Leclerc in Montreal, while Hamilton had no prior experience with it. Hamilton acknowledged that adapting to the package on short notice left him slightly flustered, as the car’s performance caught him off guard.
