[Saba Sports News] Multiple sources indicate that Lewis Hamilton is very likely to continue working with his current race engineer, Riccardo Adami, for the 2026 season. This decision has gradually become clearer after discussions between the two. Previously, Hamilton had left room for potential adjustments in the engineering team with senior management at Ferrari, but the latest developments show that both parties are opting for stability.
Hamilton’s performance in the 2025 season was not ideal; he failed to reach the podium in a full season for the first time in his career, and communication friction over the team radio was magnified by outside interpretation. Adami, who has previously worked with Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz, is experienced, but the adjustment with Hamilton has been more challenging against the backdrop of poor results.
Despite this, Ferrari has not hastily opted for a complete overhaul but instead prefers to improve efficiency through communication and adjustments. After the final race, Hamilton stated that he would conduct a comprehensive review of his personal team, including collaboration methods, rhythms, and execution details. He emphasized that this isn’t about simply changing personnel but rather finding ways to enhance efficiency.
Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur also mentioned that all options would be assessed but did not dismiss the possibility of maintaining the current configuration. In my view, under the new regulations for the 2026 season, Ferrari clearly prefers to reduce uncertainty at critical points, while stable communication could help Hamilton focus on understanding the new car and regulations.
