[Saba Sports News] According to Planet F1, after another disappointing weekend at the Baku City Circuit, Lewis Hamilton believes the prospects for the Ferrari team in the remaining races of the 2025 F1 season are quite bleak. With the Ferrari team focusing its attention on preparations for the 2026 season, the seven-time world champion believes it will be particularly challenging for Ferrari to catch up with teams like McLaren and Red Bull, which have introduced upgrades more recently. During practice for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Ferrari was at the top of the timing sheets. However, the situation deteriorated sharply on Saturday when Hamilton was eliminated in Q2, and Charles Leclerc crashed on his first lap in Q3. On race day, the best the duo could achieve was eighth and ninth place respectively. Hamilton attempted to let Leclerc pass for eighth place in the final stages of the race but was unsuccessful. This, however, also reflects Ferrari’s situation this season – many left Baku feeling that while it wasn’t a strong weekend for Ferrari, it wasn’t a complete disaster either. Speaking to media after the race, Hamilton expressed disappointment with the team’s pace, a feeling that has become all too familiar.
