[Saba Sports News] In Maranello, British driver Lewis Hamilton spent two days acclimating to his new team. On January 23, on a cold and foggy morning, Hamilton took to Ferrari’s private test track in the Ferrari 2023 SF-23 model, marking his first lap in a Ferrari F1 car. Despite poor weather, hundreds of Italian fans stood by the track to witness Hamilton complete 30 laps in wet conditions. Apart from a few tire lock-up incidents at the hairpin, Hamilton’s debut was trouble-free. After completing the 30-lap test, Hamilton was thrilled, calling his Ferrari F1 debut “one of the best feelings of my life.” Hamilton said he had already heard about the passion of the Ferrari family from the outside, and now, as a Ferrari driver, witnessing it firsthand was truly awe-inspiring. The test was reportedly conducted under the supervision of Ferrari Vice President Piero Ferrari, and Hamilton’s mother, Linda Hamilton, also attended the test at Fiorano.
