[Saba Sports News] Recently, England legendary captain David Beckham received the Legacy Cap commemorating his 115 national team caps. Ahead of England’s 2-1 quarter-final victory over Norway at the 2026 World Cup, Three Lions skipper Harry Kane presented the Legacy Cap to Beckham at Inter Miami’s training complex in tribute to his 115 appearances for England. Beckham previously captained the national side, earning 115 caps over a 13-year international career and featuring at five major tournaments. As co-owner of MLS side Inter Miami, Beckham personally welcomed Thomas Tuchel, Harry Kane and the entire England squad, granting them full access to the club’s state-of-the-art training facilities for their preparations. At this World Cup, Kane has surpassed Beckham’s cap tally on England’s all-time appearance list. Only Peter Shilton and Wayne Rooney currently hold more national team caps than Beckham among all England players.
The editor believes that David Beckham and Harry Kane share an incredible bond. Both grew up in Chingford, Waltham Forest in London, attended the same Chingford Foundation School, and began their football journeys with Ridgeway Rovers. During this meeting, Kane prepared a lovely surprise for Beckham by personally presenting him with the Legacy Cap.
