[Saba Sports News] After Arsenal’s 1‑0 away win over Brighton, Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler launched a strong criticism of Arsenal for time-wasting at the post-match press conference. Hürzeler said: “There are many ways to win a football match. If they win the Premier League title, nobody will care how they did it. I think everyone can sense that. Right now, they will stop at nothing to win, but at the end of the day, you still have to respect the rules. If the Premier League only comes down to referees’ decisions, then it’s hard to say. At the moment, I feel like Arsenal are just ignoring the rules and doing whatever they want. So I find it difficult to judge. All in all, I will never be the kind of manager who tries to win matches in this way. I want my players to perform well, to keep improving, and to stick to playing real football on the pitch.”
The editor believes that every team will eventually engage in tactical management and time-wasting, but there should be a limit to everything. That limit should be set by the Premier League and enforced by the referees. As fans, we don’t need to waste too much time discussing Arsenal and their style of play.
