[Saba Sports News] Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan mocked Pakistan following their humiliating defeat in the ongoing Asia Cup. After India’s resounding 228-run victory, Pathan humorously suggested that their neighbors might have broken their phones in frustration due to Pakistan’s dismal performance.
“Khamoshi chaai hui hai kaafi. lagta hai padosiyo ne Tv ke sath sath mobile bhi tod diye hai,” Pathan tweeted.
In the match, India showcased a comprehensive performance. Opening batsmen Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma provided a strong start, both scoring half-centuries. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul continued the momentum, each scoring a century to help India reach a total of 356 runs.
Kohli’s innings of 122 runs off 94 deliveries also marked his achievement of surpassing 13,000 runs in ODI cricket. KL Rahul’s impressive return to the team saw him score 111 runs off 106 deliveries.
During Pakistan’s chase, they lost wickets early on, with Jasprit Bumrah dismissing Imam-ul-Haq and Hardik Pandya removing Babar Azam. Shardul Thakur also contributed by dismissing Mohammad Rizwan, putting Pakistan under immense pressure from the beginning.
Kuldeep Yadav further compounded Pakistan’s troubles by taking five wickets, solidifying India’s confidence for future matches.
