[Saba Sports News] Before the Golden State Warriors’ first preseason game, Clippers guard James Harden joined the fans in cheering for Stephen Curry as he walked onto the court. Harden’s playful yell of “Steph!” was barely audible over the crowd’s roar.
As the season begins, both the Warriors and Clippers face uncertainty. Paul George is now with the 76ers, Kawhi Leonard’s return is unclear, and Harden, at 35, is nearing the end of his prime.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are adjusting to life without Klay Thompson, who joined the Mavericks, and are relying on younger players like Jonathan Kuminga and rookie Brandin Podziemski to step up.
Though only a couple of years removed from their fourth title in eight years, the Warriors are entering a new era after a disappointing first-round exit last season and missing the playoffs entirely. Draymond Green believes they can bounce back, telling *The Athletic*’s Marcus Thompson II, “We can do that s**t again. I know we can.”
The NBA regular season tips off on Tuesday, October 22.
