[Saba Sports News] Julius Randle didn’t exactly embrace the good vibes after his Minnesota Timberwolves got crushed by the New York Knicks on Thursday night.
The Timberwolves fell 133-107 at Target Center in Minneapolis, with Randle facing his former team. Adding insult to injury, Karl-Anthony Towns—the player Minnesota traded Randle for—dominated with 32 points and 20 rebounds.
Randle managed 24 points in the game, but his performance offered little solace. After the final buzzer, he reportedly skipped the customary handshakes and headed straight to the locker room, avoiding any friendly reunions with his old teammates. Maybe he’s thrilled with the trade, or maybe post-game pleasantries weren’t on his to-do list.
The night didn’t get easier for Randle, as critics piled on. Some accused him of lackluster defense, while others called out his ball-hogging tendencies during the blowout loss.
