[Saba Sports News] Phoenix Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic expressed disappointment in Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green, suggesting Green hasn’t taken his recent suspension as a learning opportunity. Green had been suspended for 12 games after an altercation with Nurkic during a December game, where he struck Nurkic in the face. Initially, Nurkic believed in giving Green a second chance for redemption. However, following a closely contested game between the Suns and Warriors, which ended in a 113-112 victory for the Warriors at Chase Center, Nurkic’s opinion changed drastically.
In a post-game locker room interview, Nurkic voiced his frustration, describing Green as a “ticking time bomb” likely to cause trouble again. “It’s sad. He didn’t learn anything, man,” Nurkic expressed, withdrawing his earlier stance on Green deserving a second chance due to his unchanged behavior and tendency towards aggression on the court.
The game featured visible animosity between Nurkic and Green, including an exchange of “too small” gestures after each scored over the other in the fourth quarter. Despite returning from suspension without receiving a technical foul in 10 games, Green’s composure broke during the match against the Suns over a disputed call, ending his no-technical streak and illustrating the ongoing tensions between him and opponents like Nurkic.
