[Saba Sports News] New York Knicks fans’ confidence is soaring. The Knicks gave their supporters plenty to cheer about during Tuesday’s 121-91 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
A sea of orange and blue chanted in unison as fans poured out of Madison Square Garden, shouting, “We want Boston! We want Boston!”
Despite needing one more win to advance past the Pacers, fans are already excited about a potential showdown with the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics currently lead their series against the Cleveland Cavaliers 3-1.
During the game, Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo had a heated exchange with Pacers big man Myles Turner. DiVincenzo later told reporters, “They were trying to be tough guys. That’s not their identity. Nobody’s gonna fight in the NBA. Take the foul, keep it moving.”
The Knicks are one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.
