[Saba Sports News] Recently, 28-year-old Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother were tragically killed in a car accident, and the vehicle was severely burned. According to the Spanish National Police, the vehicle was identified as a Lamborghini via its license plate. Preliminary speculation suggests it was a Huracan. British media reported that this model had been recalled multiple times due to serious safety issues. The Huracan is a popular luxury car among football stars, and the model has since been discontinued. It was one of the most successful models in Lamborghini’s history. Authorities are investigating whether the accident was caused by a flat tire, and there is currently no evidence linking the safety issues from recent recalls to Jota’s tragedy. Additionally, it remains unclear which specific Huracan model was involved in the accident. Notably, previous recalls of the Lamborghini Huracan included issues such as headlights causing glare and reduced visibility, and faulty seatbelt warning systems. A recall in September 2024 affected 39 Huracan EVO Spyders in the U.S. Lamborghini admitted that due to human error at its Sant’Agata Bolognese factory, an important crash protection bracket might have been installed in the wrong position.
