Sports News] Following the recent international friendly match between England
and Belgium, Declan Rice, the English international, celebrated a significant
milestone by playing his 50th game for the national team. In recognition of
this achievement, the renowned former England midfielder, Frank Lampard,
presented Rice with a pair of personalized boots. Lampard praised Rice for his
exceptional performances within the team. The boots were adorned with the
England flag and the number 50, symbolizing Rice’s milestone accomplishment.
Expressing his gratitude upon receiving the gift, Rice stated, “Reaching
this milestone is a tremendous achievement for me. Those close to me understand
the significance of representing England, and to do so 50 times is truly
incredible. I am delighted to wear these new boots and commemorate this moment
on the field.” As we look ahead to the 2024 European Cup, set to begin
this summer, the England team is considered a strong contender and among the
favorites for the championship. However, it is worth noting that England has
never won the European Championship throughout its history. Their best result
thus far was finishing as the runners-up in the previous edition, where they were
defeated by Italy in a penalty shootout.
