[Saba Sports News] LeBron James shared a message with his fans on Saturday after leading Team USA to a narrow 101-100 victory over South Sudan at O2 Arena in London, England.
James led the team with 25 points, including the game-winning basket. Team USA needed a crucial defensive stop with 8 seconds left to secure the win. This victory improved Team USA’s record to 4-0 in its friendly games ahead of the Paris Olympics. Despite the close call, James expressed his preference for challenging games.
“I like those better than the blowouts,” James said as he walked into the tunnel after the game. “At least we’re getting tested. I like being tested.”
Team USA will next face Germany at O2 Arena on Monday, followed by their Olympic opener in Group C on July 28. They will have a rematch against South Sudan on July 31.
