[Saba Sports News] In the recent F1 Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying session, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc beat the McLaren duo to secure pole position. After winning the F1 Hungarian GP pole, Leclerc expressed both excitement and surprise at the result. Leclerc said: “Today, I completely didn’t understand Formula 1. Honestly, the whole qualifying session was extremely difficult. When I say extremely difficult, I’m not exaggerating. For us, getting into Q2 was hard, and getting into Q3 was also difficult. In Q3, some conditions changed. Everything became even more challenging. I knew that if I did a clean single lap, my target was third place. In the end, I got pole position. That’s something I definitely didn’t expect. I can clearly feel the change in grip, and my downforce setting was too low, so when it started raining in Q2, I just hoped the rain wouldn’t continue. Fortunately, it didn’t keep raining, and the conditions changed, which made everything very complicated. But in the end, we managed to get pole. Honestly, I don’t know what to say. This might be one of the best poles I’ve ever taken in my career. Definitely the most unexpected. The start and the first corner will be crucial. I don’t know how the race will go, but one thing is certain – I’ll do everything I can to keep that first position. If we manage that, it should make the rest of the race much easier.”
