[Saba Sports News] Singaporean badminton player Loh Kean Yew has returned to Singapore after unfortunately failing to win a medal at the badminton event in the Paris Olympics. Despite his lack of success in the Olympics, he has experienced a major life event—he has become a father. Loh Kean Yew recently updated his social media with a post featuring a heartwarming photo of him holding his child. He captioned the photo, “On a sunny morning, I woke up and became a father.” Loh Kean Yew has achieved remarkable results in the badminton world. In the 2024 Paris Olympics men’s singles competition, he advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating a Chinese player 2-0 in the round of 16, marking his best Olympic result. In my opinion, becoming a father is a significant moment in Loh Kean Yew’s life, bringing him a new identity and responsibilities, and enriching his life. I believe that he will continue to strive for success in his badminton career while also building a happy life for his family.
