While the Mavs are planning a heartfelt tribute and handing out T-shirts thanking Doncic in Slovenian, one fan is taking a very different approach: they’re passing out 200 purple-and-gold shirts reading “Fire Nico” — styled in classic Lakers font, of course.
Mavs GM Nico Harrison has been catching heat ever since pulling the trigger on the blockbuster Doncic trade, and Wednesday’s game is shaping up to be a full-blown protest party.
One fan even went viral recently for chanting “Fire Nico” to his face, and somehow the chant has even made its way to events that have nothing to do with hoops.
Safe to say, the vibes at American Airlines Center are about to get awkward. Bring popcorn. And maybe a T-shirt.
