[Saba Sports News] Recently, the Malaysian Badminton Association filed an official complaint against the Badminton World Federation (BWF) regarding errors made by the umpire during the 2025 Malaysia Masters Men’s Doubles Round of 16 match between the Malaysian duo of Kang Khai Xing and Aaron Tai Wei Qin against the Danish pair of Rasmus Kjaer and Frederik Sogaard. The Malaysian Badminton Association submitted a written complaint to the BWF regarding these erroneous decisions. According to Malaysian Badminton Association Secretary Datuk Kenny Goh Chee Keong, three key mistakes were made at crucial moments of the match, significantly affecting the outcome and fairness of the game. While the Malaysian badminton team continues to respect the role and importance of officials, the BWF must conduct a thorough review of the refereeing standards and maintain fairness and justice in every match. This formal complaint, along with video evidence and detailed match documents, has been submitted to the BWF for immediate review. The Malaysian Badminton Association reiterated its commitment to upholding sportsmanship and professional values and urged the BWF to take swift and transparent action on this matter to prevent similar incidents from occurring in future events.
