[Saba Sports News] The Malaysian men’s doubles pair Nur Izzuddin and Goh Szefei have recently made a name for themselves in the world of men’s doubles badminton with their outstanding performances, now considered major competitors alongside teams from South Korea and Denmark. After clinching the championship at the India Badminton Super 750 tournament in January, this victory marks their fourth high-level world tour championship within five months, leading Malaysia to view them as strong contenders for a gold medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. They have reportedly been included in Malaysia’s latest Road to Gold program (RTG) by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, making them key development targets and granting them more resources and support. As a young duo, they possess significant potential for growth and improvement, and with their continuous skill enhancement and experience in more tournaments, their world rankings are expected to rise further.
