[Saba Sports News] According to the latest reports from English media, the price for single-match regular tickets at Manchester United will be raised to as high as £97 next season. This news has sparked significant dissatisfaction among many Manchester United fans since its announcement. Additionally, in an announcement made on March 18th, it was revealed that apart from tickets for those under 16 years old, season tickets for the 2025-26 season will increase by approximately 5%, which averages an additional £2.50 per match. This marks the third consecutive season that Manchester United has increased its season ticket prices after maintaining stable prices for 11 years. It is believed that the team had a disappointing season last year, finishing 15th in the Premier League, and the poor performance of the team does not justify the rise in ticket prices. This could make fans feel their enthusiasm and investment have not been respected or rewarded, especially for those with less financial means, as higher ticket prices will increase the cost of watching matches and may lead to reduced attendance. Fans are crucial supporters of the club, and frequent price hikes without proper communication could damage the club’s public image. Some radical fans have even displayed banners outside the stadium to protest against the club’s decision.
