[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Manchester United owes approximately €6 million in transfer commissions to Antony and his agent. The club hopes that Real Betis will bear this cost or that the player himself will waive it. Real Betis has stated that they cannot afford it. The report indicates that negotiations regarding Antony’s transfer from Manchester United to Real Betis have reached a complete stalemate due to the failure of the two clubs and the player to reach an agreement. The reason is that Manchester United owes money to the player and his agent and hopes that Real Betis will cover these costs, or that the Brazilian player will abandon the claim. It is understood that the key point of contention is the amount owed by Manchester United to the player and the commission that his agent should have received from the player’s transfer from Ajax three years ago, totaling €6 million. Manchester United is unwilling to pay this fee and wants Real Betis to bear it. However, the latter cannot increase their offer due to salary limit restrictions and can only hope that the player and his agent abandon the claim. Additionally, Antony and his team have already agreed to a salary reduction. Currently, the transfer negotiations for Antony are deadlocked. Real Betis initially hoped to acquire the player on a loan with an option to buy but now cannot afford to improve the offer.
