This challenge began during Erik ten Hag’s tenure in October 2024 but continued into Ruben Amorim’s coaching period, during which it took a year to achieve just two back-to-back victories. Currently, under interim manager Michael Carrick, Manchester United has secured four consecutive wins. They will face West Ham away mid-week, and if they manage to achieve five consecutive wins, Frank Elyett will cut his hair, which has grown to 25 centimeters long.
It has been reported that Frank Elyett has earned over a million pounds in the past 16 months through media and sponsorship, and he even has an “official haircut partner.” However, he clarified, “I am definitely not the millionaire some people think I am. There has been a lot of talk about making millions, but that’s not the case. It’s not as profitable as some people imagine, but that wasn’t the reason I started doing this in the first place.” Frank Elyett also stated that if Manchester United achieves five consecutive wins and he successfully gets a haircut, he will donate his hair to the Little Princess Trust, a UK charity that provides wigs to children who have lost their hair due to illness.
