[Saba Sports News] Recently, the chairman of
French Ligue 1 Marseille, Pablo Longoria, made an announcement stating that he
would temporarily suspend his duties and refrain from receiving a salary until
the appropriate time to resume work. This decision came amidst allegations made
by fans accusing Longoria of involvement in “kickbacks.” He was
specifically accused of having a favouritism-based relationship with certain
agents and receiving benefits from them. Longoria firmly asserted his innocence
in response to these accusations. As a result, the club’s headquarters
commissioned an independent company to conduct an audit of all his business and
transaction records. Following the investigation, it was concluded that
Longoria was innocent of the charges.
