[Saba Sports News] Recently, American influencer Logan Paul issued an unusual challenge to soccer superstar Lionel Messi — to settle their dispute over energy drink brands PRIME and Mas+ in a boxing ring. This dispute began after Messi launched his energy drink brand Mas+, with Logan Paul accusing Messi of “copying” the packaging and trademark design of PRIME, which he co-founded with fellow influencer KSI. Launched in 2022, PRIME quickly became popular worldwide, leading to shortages and even being sold at ten times its suggested retail price. Messi’s Mas+, which launched last year, has led to a legal dispute over packaging and trademark issues. In a recent video, Logan Paul directly addressed Messi, saying, “Bro, you copied us, everyone saw it. You sued us first, but we counter-sued. If we can’t resolve this in court, then let’s meet in the ring!” Paul even stated that if he could face Messi in the ring in 2025, he would consider dropping the lawsuit. It is reported that Messi’s Mas+ first sued PRIME last October, alleging “anti-competitive behavior” and attempting to force Mas+ to change its packaging. PRIME then counter-sued a month later, accusing Messi’s brand of copying its trademark design.
