
[Saba Sports News] David Moyes, manager of Premier League team Everton, recently experienced an important moment in his life as he was awarded the Officer of the most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) to honor his over two decades of coaching contributions. Moyes’ coaching career began in 1998 at Preston North End. He has also coached Manchester United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland, and West Ham United, among others. During his time at Everton, he served two terms, leading 538 matches in total. His first term lasted from March 2002 to June 2013, spanning over 11 years. During this period, he won the English Football League Managers Association Manager of the Year award three times. In total, he has managed 716 Premier League matches, second only to Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson. The editor believes that Moyes’ experiences set a great example for young coaches.
