[Saba Sports News] According to Ukrainian media, Chelsea star Mykhailo Petrovych Mudryk has tested positive for a banned substance in a doping test. The test reportedly took place at the end of October, and a prohibited substance was found in Mudryk’s A sample. The B sample is expected to be tested in the coming days. If this news is confirmed, Mudryk could face a ban of up to four years. Mudryk last appeared on the field on November 29 in a UEFA Conference League match against Heidenheim, where he scored a goal. Since December, Mudryk has not participated in any matches. The 23-year-old Mudryk joined Chelsea in January 2023 for a transfer fee of €70 million. Since joining the Blues, he has made 73 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 10 goals and providing 9 assists. This season, Mudryk has primarily played as a substitute in the UEFA Conference League, also serving in a substitute role in league matches. So far this season, Mudryk has played 15 matches for Chelsea, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists. Currently, the Ukrainian international’s market value is €30 million. Mudryk’s social media has restricted comments, with his last post being a lifestyle photo from five weeks ago.
