[Saba Sports News] According to French media reports, Paris Saint-Germain will be forced to close part of the stands at Parc des Princes during their Ligue 1 match against Toulouse on November 22. Reports state that during a Ligue 1 match against Strasbourg, Paris fans chanted slogans targeting former PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who currently plays for their rivals Marseille. The French Professional Football League (LFP) announced an investigation into this matter on October 20. The closed section will be the Auteuil stand—an area known for having many extreme fans within Parc des Princes. The penalty will take effect from November 5; however, there are no restrictions for this weekend’s home match against Lens. Last year, Paris Saint-Germain was also penalized for “homophobic slogans” during a Ligue 1 match against Marseille and faced partial stand closures as a result. At that time, Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembele, Randal Kolo Muani, and Layvin Kurzawa were also suspended for one match by the LFP for allegedly participating in aggressive chants while celebrating victory with extreme fans after the Marseille match. After the incident, all four players expressed their apologies on social media.
