[Saba Sports News] According to the latest research from the Centre for Sports Law and Economics (CDES), Paris Saint-Germain has become an important economic engine for the Greater Paris area. Recently, Paris Saint-Germain and CDES released research findings titled “The Economic Impact and Social Utility of Paris Saint-Germain in Greater Paris for the 2023/2024 Season.” The study highlights Paris Saint-Germain’s strong local foundation under the theme “A Club Serving the Region.” In the 2023/2024 season, Paris Saint-Germain generated €243 million in added value and €371 million in fiscal contributions, becoming an important player in the Greater Paris area. Over the past five years, Paris Saint-Germain’s contribution to wealth creation in Greater Paris has increased by 25%. Undoubtedly, organizing sports events is the main activity through which Paris Saint-Germain creates value, generating €74.6 million. Paris Saint-Germain is also an important employer, creating 2,379 full-time jobs. This figure includes 746 direct jobs, 291 indirect jobs, and 1,342 induced jobs. The Greater Paris area benefits from Paris Saint-Germain’s European growth: revenues for 2023-2024 reached €805 million, ranking third in Europe and averaging a growth rate of 17.9% annually since 2010-2011, leading among Europe’s top 20 clubs.
