[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Puma is concerned that Marc Cucurella’s act of throwing his shoes may affect their sales. During Chelsea’s 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, Cucurella slipped twice during the match, leading to goals for the Blues. Subsequently, Cucurella took off his Puma shoes and switched to another brand, an action that could cost Puma dearly. Reports indicate that Cucurella was wearing a customized pair of Puma Future 8S shoes during the match. After the game, Cucurella posted a photo on social media of him throwing the shoes in the trash, saying, “Sorry, Chelsea fans.” He later deleted the post, but it has indeed impacted Puma’s shoe sales plans. It is reported that Puma is launching new products before Christmas, hoping to recover after third-quarter sales fell short of expectations. However, Cucurella’s actions have undoubtedly affected Puma’s shoe sales.
