[Saba Sports News] Recently, Real Madrid officially confirmed that the club’s presidential election process will begin at 5:30 PM local time on January 7. According to the club’s regulations, candidates for the Real Madrid presidency must meet the following criteria: 1. Must be a Spanish national, of legal age, and possess full legal capacity; 2. Must fulfill social obligations (pay membership fees on time); 3. Must not have been penalized with disqualification from management positions; 4. At the time of being announced as a presidential candidate, must not hold any administrative positions, be a player, referee, coach, or technical staff at other football clubs; 5. Candidates for the club presidency must have 20 years of membership, candidates for vice presidency must have 15 years of membership, and candidates for other positions must have 10 years of membership; 6. Must provide a bank guarantee as required. Furthermore, teams participating in the Real Madrid elections must consist of at least 10 and at most 20 members, including the candidate. It is reported that Florentino Perez’s current term will end this spring, and he will run for re-election without any competitors, similar to the elections in 2009, 2013, 2017, and 2021.
