[Saba Sports News] Once again, a controversial incident unfolded at the Miami Grand Prix, where Max Verstappen was urgently summoned by the FIA following suspected violations after the sprint qualifying. An investigation revealed a significant error in Red Bull’s timing system – the car’s displayed time was six seconds slower than the actual time, resulting in Verstappen exceeding the required time in the SQ2 segment. Although the judge determined that the Dutch driver had indeed violated the event rules, the Red Bull team was only given a warning, and Verstappen retained his fourth-place grid position. According to internal technical reports, Red Bull’s timing module experienced data delays in high-temperature environments, causing Verstappen to “speed” unknowingly. More shockingly, Red Bull engineers admitted that this problem had been discovered during practice sessions but was not timely fixed due to prioritizing car balance issues. The FIA technical representative harshly pointed out at the hearing: “This is the third time this season that Red Bull has violated regulations due to system failures.” Despite escaping punishment, Verstappen openly expressed dissatisfaction with the car’s performance; more intriguingly, he rarely missed the team’s media activities after the hearing.
