[Saba Sports News] According to German media AMuS, Red Bull Racing no longer believes that Sergio Perez can return to his previous form, and his time with the team is limited. If necessary, Red Bull will pay a penalty for him to leave. This would mean that Red Bull Racing would lose sponsorship from Mexico, potentially facing significant financial pressure next season. As a result, the team has not conducted any “TPC testing” recently due to the high costs associated with using Honda engines. To cover testing expenses, Red Bull is negotiating with Zhou Guanyu’s team, hoping they can fund the TPC testing for both Zhou and their young driver Arvid Lindblad. Zhou dreams of returning to F1 in 2026 and wants to maintain his form through TPC testing. TPC, or “Testing of Previous Cars,” allows teams to test cars that are at least two years old. According to FIA rules, teams can test these old cars without restrictions for technical development and data collection.
