[Saba Sports News] Red Bull unveiled an otherworldly, F1 inspired super car, the Red Bull RB17, at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. This hybrid mid-engine supercar boasts a 1,200-hp (895-kW) naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V10 engine, capable of reaching speeds in excess of 217 mph. The car was designed by Adrian Newey and constructed using carbon fiber and other essential materials sourced from Red Bull F1 suppliers. It is priced at up to US$7.5 million. Although the RB17 may not possess the highest horsepower in its class, with “only” 1,200 hp, it is one of the lightest, weighing in at 1,984 lb (900 kg), resulting in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 1,210 hp/ton. The RB17’s sleek lines and curves are optimized for performance, featuring active aerodynamics in the front and rear wings, as well as the diffuser. At high speeds, the RB17 can generate nearly 1.9 tons (1,725 kg, 3,800 lb) of down force, almost twice the car’s weight, ensuring exceptional grip on the road.
