[Saba Sports News] The RFEF Disciplinary Committee has just announced a punishment for Atletico Madrid regarding an incident during the 8th matchday of La Liga. Atletico has been sanctioned with the closure of part of their stands for three matches. This punishment stems from an incident during last Sunday’s match against Real Madrid, where fans threw objects onto the field in the second half. Match officials issued warnings via loudspeakers to suspend the game up to two times. Such uncivil behavior from fans severely disrupted the normal course of the match and undermined order at the venue, which is the main reason for the RFEF’s disciplinary action against Atletico. Additionally, during the Madrid derby, home fans threw objects at Thibaut Courtois, causing a 20-minute interruption in the match. This behavior not only poses a threat to player safety but also damages the image and reputation of football matches. The editor believes that the RFEF’s punishment of Atletico is aimed at maintaining the fairness, safety, and good image of football.
